About Zach Burke

Zach Burke riding a horse

Born and raised in the Black Hills, I spent most of my younger years working on my uncle’s horse farm out of Keystone. Throughout my teenage years I was fortunate enough to end up in the Big Horns, west of Sheridan Wyoming and worked on many cow/calf operations, who kept the cowboy tradition alive. After graduating, I moved back to the Hills. An unfortunate horse/cow wreck left me in a leg brace for the summer of 2012. Unable to be horseback, I took on a welding/fabrication job for TrueNorth Steel. I enjoyed the industry enough I decided to stay on and worked my way into a supervisor roll in 2017. Some recent local projects included the Rapid City Civic Center Monument Arena and the addition to the hospital in Rapid City. I’ve stayed connected to the agriculture world through brandings, cow work, the occasional colt and Farrier work.

Outside of work, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking, and backpacking. I also love cutting down trees to make into projects and the always needed firewood.  Starting colts and shoeing is passion of mine. I will never say no to a cup of black coffee and a slice of pie.

I met my wife in 2015. It took very little time to know that she was the one. Our passions for animals made our dreams very clear. To provide exceptional care to the health and wellbeing of every animal we meet.
